Kia ora koutou whānau,
Tūrangawaewae class is lucky enough to be able to go to Hamilton Zoo for a sleepover, Woohoo! This trip ties into our topic of Tūrangawaewae – Our Place To Stand.
Where: Hamilton Zoo, staying at the Hamilton Observatory centre
When: Thursday 29th October & Friday 30th of October
Time: Meet at school at 4.30pm for a sausage sizzle dinner before we leave school at 5pm sharp.
We are aiming to be back to school on Friday by 2pm at the latest.
Students will be travelling by the two school vans and cars.
All meals are provided by the school however baking for morning tea and supper would be greatly appreciated.
We do not require any more parent helpers for Thursday night however whānau are more than welcome to join us on Friday while we walk around the zoo.

- Sleeping bag
- Good walking shoes
- Water bottle
- Book to read before bed
- Rain jacket depending on the weather
- Change of clothes for Friday
- Swimming togs that will be left at school for Friday afternoon
- Slim foam mattresses (please talk to us if this is a problem)
